Amphibians

Red-Legged Running Frog

There are a good selection of amphibians available from Monkfield, which range from some of the more commonly kept pet frogs to some of the rarer species.

Amphibians as a group contain a wide selection of different species, from frogs that live in trees to mudpuppies that live underwater. They also come in almost every colour imaginable making them an excellent species to be kept in a show case vivarium. Frog keepers often create an eco system within the tank, which is self maintaining. The amphibian group includes frogs, toads, newts, salamanders and caecilians.
